Welcome to Attrition.ws

The purpose of this web site is to serve as a resource to the hiking community in Washington State.

I have been hiking for about 10 years and have recently decided to share some of my experiences on the web. These experiences are summed up in the form of hiking reviews which can be navigated through in a number of ways. The navigation bar above sorts out hikes according to difficulty, elevation, and length. This is an easy way to select hikes which meet your requirements. The page created from this result is fully sortable and links to the hike reviews of the selected hikes.

While you are here please do the other users of the site a favor and either vote on the hikes (this determines the numbers of stars used in the navigation, or better still 'write a review' which requires no account and only takes a minute. From any hike review page click the 'write review' link located below the site review.

Big News - the next version of the website is up:

After what seems like an eternity the next version of the website is up an running. Now users can submit their own reviews complete with their own photos!

Requirements:

1 . Make sure your browser has java 1.3 or greater vm so you can upload pictures.

2. The Location - I need to know the rough location of the hike; enough so I can use my mapping software to get a bead on the lat/long coordinates.

3. Your Preferences - Create a bio of yourself and upload a picture to be shown with your hike review.
