Just to confirm your expectations, I use Safari and the entire list is there. I use it as a carrot on the end of a stick to get out on the trail with so many possibilities.

I personally have never been snowshoeing, but last winter on Mt. Pilchuk, there were a few people with them. I am sure once the snow makes it way lower, the majority of everyday trails will be pretty good. I have had snowshoes in my hand many times at REI, just for some reason haven't bought them yet.

I've been away for way to long, but I love the additions, like the ratings section with the green checks. I was extremely disappointed in my hiking frequency thru the summer so I am going again with the information I received from attrition.ws. Thanks again for the great site.

I kind of have the same issue. I have a fear of heights but try to overcome it. Like the first time I climbed one of those portable rock wall things, I was very nervous, but the more I do it now, I get more comfortable with it. I got a little scared last month in California going to the top of Black Butte, walking at the top being exposed and it was kind of windy. I really want to climb Rainier but those ladder bridges across those crevasses scare the crap out of me. But sooner or later I need to over come that. I think the best way is repetion, like the rock wall thing. Let me know how it goes. I may need some help myself.

A interesting plan for the preservation of 1.3 million acres of our backyard.

In today's Herald (Everett's newspaper), there was an article on repairing the roads and trails in the Glacier Peak Wilderness, particularly the Pacific Crest, Suiattle, Whitechuck and North Fork Sauk Trails. Does anyone know of any possibility to volunteer to assist in this? Might be an interesting summer project.

I checked your hit chart. Pretty impressive. Looking forward to the new additions.

So far all improvements has been exactly that, improvements and I doubt the new changes will be any different. Keep up the great work John. This is great for us "Washingtonians"! Just curious, how many visitors do you get on a weekly basis? I think many people are missing out.

I settled for a +20 REI bag. Got a good deal on it, I think. Can't wait to try it out, going out June 17. Hopefully the weather is decent or atleast better than now.

Lookin' at the Mountain Hardwear 2nd Dimension. You can change the volume of the bag depending on the temp. Sounds like a pretty nifty idea. What kind of bag do you all have? Looking for a good all around one. I am 5'11" so the whole 6' cut-off can be an issue on some bags.

I just got a little Campmor catalog in the mail yesterday and was wondering if anyone here has ordered stuff from them before, because they seem like they have alot of good deals. Just curious.

Love the new icons!

John, How have you been? I think this is a great idea, especially the crowds and views. I personally don't take my dog with me but I know many do so that is probably another good one. The Pass one can get confusing for some not knowing which one is required. I think you are on to a great idea here. I continue to use your website as my main source for hikes. Thanks.

I saw a picture of these guys snowshoein' their way on Mount Sawyer and was wondering if anyone had any info on it.

I got a bunch of pictures, and sure, I'll write a little review of it. How could I go about sending you the pics?
Did it actually reach 60 degrees today???

Do you have Wallace Falls in Gold Bar anywhere on this website? I went there last month and loved it.

Everyone staying dry in the past few days? The snow was nice, for a day!

Which is more important in finding the best size for a pack? Having a dilemma, buying a pack online and since I am tall but thin, should I go with the torso applicable size or the waist/chest applicable size?

I heard once from a guy who seemed pretty "hiking-intelligent" to use vasoline on your feet before you go on strenuous hikes. He said he wouldn't have made it to the top of Rainier if not for that. Have you ever heard of this, and if so, does it work?
