Directions:  From I-90 take exit 34 and turn right off the freeway onto 468th Ave SE.  Drive south .5 mile and turn left on SE 159th Street (Sign indicates trailhead). Drive .5 mile to the trailhead at road's end.

Trail Notes:  This is a great trail for those that want a leisurely stroll through the woods.  Be sure to start early if you want a decent parking location or want to encounter a minimum number of fellow hikers and dogs.  From the trail there are numerous spurs that lead to the river or one of the many pools above the main water fall.  About 3/4 of the way to the top there is a lookout  that offers a great view of the waterfall.  Currently a small portion of the trail is washed out and there are a few blow downs.  Other than that the trail is in good condition.

If you are to continue on the trail you connect with the John Wayne Pioneer Trail and will lead you to exit 38 off of I-90.

Deffinitly an easy hike for the kids and dogs. Went last Wednesday and there wasn't tooooooooo many people out, though word on the trail is that its person after person on weekends so beware. Flow is low though still cuts into 2 at the bottom making a beautiful sliding fall. To make a day out of this fall (and add a bit more activity) check out another fall in the area...Iron Horse Falls.(http://www.waterfallsnorthwest.com/nws/waterfall.php?st=WA&num=399)

Hiked on Memorial Day.  Nicely maintained trail with soft forest floor and boardwalks/stairs where necessary.  There are still a few muddy spots but nothing overly slippery.  Don't stop after the two falls...keep going & you'll connect into the Iron Horse trail.  Take a right and head over to Rattlesnake Lake, or take a left and a short walk (stay right at the Y) will take you to Deception Crags & the railroad tressle to watch the rock climbers.  A nice weekend day will find the trail busy with families and dogs so you'll be parking way up the road if you arrive mid-morning!

Beautiful trail. The waterfall on top is a plus. Little muddy in areas due to snow/rain. Enough room to pass. Enjoy!
